My business grew from $900 to $10k in a month.
In May 2020, (yes, two months ago), I was working two part-time jobs that were making me about $2,000/month combined. While they were incredible on paper (working to understand and combat gentrification), I absolutely hated my day-to-day and couldn't help feeling like doing good in the world shouldn't suck for me.
Plus, I had this baby business I was nurturing. I'd been making a couple hundred dollars a month, and KNEW that I was capable of so much more--but not while trying to run this business between jobs. Especially not when those jobs were so soul-sucking that I had barely any energy left for what actually lit me up: serving all of you. So, I did a thing that made absolutely no sense. I quit my two part-time jobs, and went all in on Kasai Thrive.
What happened next also made absolutely no sense. My business went from making $900 in May to $9,600 in June. Yes, you're reading that right, and those numbers are real. I wish you could've been there when I realized I was having my first 4-figure month, then a few days later I was making more money than I was in my jobs, then a few days later it was over $5k, and so on and so on until more money than I'd imagined possible for me was suddenly...mine.
I've been reflecting on how I can best serve all of you, and my intuition has been telling me one thing loud and clear: STORIES. Specifically, money stories. I have a LOT of them, and some of them a pretty wild. More soon.
Until then, what nonsensical action would you take if you believed you could get nonsensical results?
